Pancho Villa
Today, the name "Pancho Villa" stirs quasi-romantic feelings of freedom, self-determination, cowboy justice, and the Robin Hood archetype. But, for most of us, we really don't know who Pancho Villa was, what he did, the saga that transpired between him and the US government, or really anything concrete about him. Hello World!
I've been inspired by the great Dutch collectors of the 16th and 17th centuries to create a blog about curiosities and oddities. You know the guys... they have rooms full of double headed cat corpses in formaldehyde and Chinese scientific instruments from the 1200's. Awesome!
Well, this blog is to be a virtual version of just that ethic! So to kick things off, here is my first entry. God the French are so obsessive!
